Northport Point, MI Yacht Club Job Openings

NORTHPORT POINT YACHT CLUB, 45 minutes north of Traverse City, MI., usually has 2 job openings for head and assistant sailing instructor for mid-June to mid-August each summer. US Sailing Level 1 Certification, self-starting personality and desire to work with kids required.

Northport Point (www.northportpoint.com) is a 100-year-old summer community of 100 homes on a beautiful wooded peninsula surrounded by the sparkling waters of Grand Traverse Bay. Our yacht club members sail Typhoons, Lido 14s, Sunfish and prams. The Point also has a private 9-hole golf course, tennis courts and a chapel in the woods. Instructors have full use of Point facilities in their free time. Instructors teach group lessons to kids ages 5-14 from 9am-noon M-F and are part of a 7-person instructional staff teaching golf, tennis, swimming, camping as well as sailing. Additionally, sailing instructors will conduct 2 afternoon races each week. Base salary will be $3000 head/$2250 assistant with extra income from private and group afternoon lessons available. Instructors share two houses on the beach with kitchen, bath and laundry facilities.
