Lodging in Vail will vary by location, price, convenience, etc. We have a contract with The Vail Valley Tourism Office, and have a number
to call if you have any questions or need assistance with lodging. That number is 1-800-525-3875. Please mention the Cory/Behler wedding
(March 1st, 2003) and that office will help with all of your travel needs. Jennifer and I personally tried to block out rooms or get a better rate for
our guests, however, given the fact that some guests are coming in from Boulder/Denver and only spending one night, and others are coming
for five or six nights, logistically blocking out rooms did not work. Also, as many of you know, this is peak season in Vail, and many hotels and
condos have plenty of demand. Having said that, Jennifer and I have extensively researched places to stay. The following is what we have come up with thus far:
The Lodge at Vail - This is the location of the wedding reception. Upscale, expensive, beautiful, perfect location right in Vail Village.
Swiss Hotel and Spa - Right next to the Chapel, this hotel is part of the popular Sonnenalp Family of Resorts & Hotels. The Swiss Hotel
& Spa is designed with an intimate, unique old world charm that has for years more than satisfied its loyal clientele.
Perfectly located in the middle of Vail Village, puts you a short walk from the world class skiing on Vail Mountain. The Antlers at Vail - Great location in Lionshead, 2 minute walk to gondola. Recently underwent $20 million renovation.
This is where the groom and his family are staying. Great rooms, great views. Contact Stephanie Willingham @
800-843-8245, ext 119 and mention Cory/Behler wedding for special rates. NOTE: There is a 4 night minimum.Fallridge at Vail - Fallridge is by far the best deal all around. I know many family and friends have stayed there in the past. Fallridge has
many condos, and is located right on the Vail golf course. There is a shuttle right next to Fallridge, and the drive is
only 5 minutes from Vail Village. This is also where the bride and her family are staying. For those coming out to Vail
for the week, especially with a group, this is a great place to stay. Mention the Cory/Behler wedding to lower the
minimum night stay requirement.Apollo Park Lodge - These 'hotel-like' one and two bedroom condos are located in Vail Village and only require a three night minimum
stay. This is a good option for small groups, who want a more economical option, while still staying in a great location.
The decor and amenities are dated, but comfortable.Comfort Inn - Beaver Creek - For those of you who want to be in Beaver Creek, the Comfort Inn is a great place to stay. Views of the
mountain, shuttle service to Vail and Beaver Creek Skiing, complimentary continental breakfast, hot tub,
and probably the best rates on rooms we have found. Especially convenient given a one night minimum
stay requirement. Rooms will cost approx. $139 per night, call 1-800-423-4374 and ask for the Cory/Behler
wedding.Snow.com Web Specials - A great web site to check out. Always has great web deals for Lodging in Vail and Beaver Creek.
Vail Lodging Finder - A great web page for all things Vail, and links to finding good lodging. Enter your e-mail address to receive Vail
newsletters, daily snow reports, and special offers via e-mail.Vail.net Lodging - If none of the above seem to fit your needs, check out Vail.net and search through all the available lodging in the
Vail area. Also, please feel free to contact Jennifer or Andrew if you have any questions.Beaver Creek - As many of you know, Beaver Creek resort is right next to Vail. If you cannot find anything in Vail, or want to check out
Beaver Creek, take a look at the Official Beaver Creek Webpage.
